Vitacost Blogger Review: Beauty Care, Pet Toys, Soup Mix, Zum Mist and Hazelnut Spread

I recently received this awesome box of Goodies from Vitacost and I am going to each item for you below.  Vitacost sells items at discounted prices, and some things you may not even be able to find in your local stores.  If you're going gluten-free, or have other special dietary needs, Vitacost is a great place to find exactly what you need.  I hope you enjoy my review!

Kong Ball Large 3.2 IN, 1 Toy

I unpacked the ball and threw it in the hallway for the dog.  She promptly picked it up and took it to her doggie bed. :)  Since we've gotten the ball, we've been out in the back yard playing fetch.  This ball bounces like a giant bouncy ball would and she loves chasing after it.  Plus, it's easily washable and she can't chew it up like regular tennis balls.

Zum Mist® Aromatherapy Room and Body Spray Lemongrass -- 4 fl oz

This spray is delicious!  It reminds me of lemon drop candy, or maybe it's some other type of candy.  It's sweet and light and great to spray in the bedroom or any room, and of course to spray yourself with.  I have been keeping this bottle at my work desk, and so it gets sprayed quite often to boost my "work-mode" mood.  I am going to have to try other scents of Zum Mist very soon!

Petstages Mightie Mouse Green Magic™ Cat Toy -- 1 Toy

I took this out of it's package so I could check it out and I left the package and toy on the floor.  I then went to get a beverage and came back to my 15 year old cat attacking the toy, which then got hidden under a piece of furniture, and then she started licking the inside of the packaging!  Here's a picture of her on her third attack of said packaging:

Here's my younger male cat posing with his new favorite toy.  I can't believe how much they love this Petstages Mightie Mouse Green Magic™ Cat Toy.  I think these should be a staple for anyone with cats!

Justin's Natural Hazelnut Butter Chocolate -- 16 oz

I've been a big fan of Justin's Almond butters that I've purchased from Vitacost, so I was really excited to be able to try this hazelnut butter with chocolate.  The packaging says "Do you eat cake frosting for breakfast?  I didn't think so.....", meaning that they've got way less sugar and less "frosting taste" than competing brands.  This stuff tastes super good and isn't at all like frosting.  It's like it's healthy or something!  Will definitely be buying this again.  So far, I've had it on toast and in oatmeal (as I do with most nut butters), and with some vanilla ice cream.

Bob's Red Mill Bean Soup Seasoning Mix -- 2.5 oz

In my 31 years of life, I have never gotten around to making plain ole bean soup.  Well, I got to test seasoning mix from Bob's Red Mill and decided it was time to try!  I soaked the beans overnight, then put everything in a crock pot on low the next day.  Just so you know, you can also buy Bob's Red Mill Bean Soup beans on Vitacost too (along with other awesome Bob's Red Mill items at great discounted prices!).

Here's my finished soup.  I didn't add meat, though next time I think some sausage or ham would be great in it.  Definitely a good seasoning mix.

Desert Essence Natural Tea Tree Oil Facial Cleansing Pads - Original -- 50 Pads

These pads say to clean face with face wash, then to rub the pads over your face to get excess oil.  they also say to use during the day.  So, what I did is I went out and did some weeding and came back in with a hot face and I used one of these pads to wipe my face down.  WOAH!!  That tea tree oil is so refreshing!  I can see these being a definite staple in my beauty routine, even if it's just for the hot summer nights.  Plus, look at the gunk they got out of my pores.  (Sorry if TMI. hehe)

CSI Amber Honey Exfoliating Scrub -- 2 oz

Wow, this scrub smells delicious, like sweet and, well, like honey!  The product makes your skin feel so smooth and clean.  A little goes a long way!  I think this product would be great for both teens and adults, and make a great gift for anyone.  I think I might have to add this to my regular Vitacost order.  Just get your fingertips wet and put a little scrub on them, and smooth onto your face in a circular pattern and you'll get all of that icky, dead skin off.
