Better Than Bush's Baked Beans? I Think So! *Recipe*

I found the recipe for "Better than Bush's Baked Beans" through Google, but I made some modifications as stated below.  Instead of baking, I put it all in the slow cooker on low for about 5 hours.  I cut the chili powder and the sugar and it was still plenty flavorful!

Here is the way I made the "Better than Bush's Baked Beans" recipe in the slow cooker:

6 cups of water
2 cups of dry Great Northern Beans, soaked overnight, then drained
3 chicken bouillon cubes
1 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup cane sorghum (or molasses)
1/4 cup cornstarch
1/2 cup red onion, chopped
1/4 cup garlic powder
1 1/2 teaspoons mustard powder
4 tablespoons chili powder
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 1/2 teaspoons black pepper
1/2 package bacon - cooked.

I am going to definitely make these again!  Next time, I may cut another tablespoon off of the chili powder though.  I used sorghum because it's what I had and I used cooked bacon as I had cooked some the day prior.  This is a really good recipe and even my husband likes it!  He's a huge Bush's Beans fanatic.
