Valentine's Day Melted Crayon's Craft to do with the Kids for School.

Items needed:
  1. Crayons without paper, (leftover crayons the kids don't want to play with anymore, the kind you throw away work great!)
  2. Muffin tin, (I purchased a heart shape tin).
  3. Construction paper.
  4. Paper, printer - I also created my own color my world image. :)
  5. Tape.  I used Scotch tape to hold the crayon on the paper craft.
  6. Glue stick.
Easy and SUPER Fun to do with the kids!
  1. We peeled the paper off crayons.
  2. Then we broke the crayons into little pieces.
(I preferred matching colors, rather than different colors -see pics below)
  3. We filled the tray with the little pieces.
  4. Preheat oven 250 degrees.
  5. Bake 10-15 mins until they look done.. (all solid crayons will be melted).
  6. Let cool completely before you pop them out of the mold.
If they are not coming out easy, then place them in freezer for a few mins.
  7. We then cut the pieces of construction paper in 4.
  8. I made the color my world part and had it print 6x per sheet of paper.
(this part was saved on my old computer which crashed :( so I cant share it with you, but you should be able to create something similar of your own)
  9. The kids glued the paper to the construction paper using a glue stick.
  10. Finally we used Scotch tape and stuck the crayon to the card we had just made!

Here is what I mean when I say I preferred matching the crayon colors (red pink, dark blue/light blue, orange/yellow).

-The top picture is partially melted..

-I took them out so you could see them in the process, as well as the size I broke the crayons into.

Here is an example of when I mixed different color crayons.  They're still cute, but not as bright.

ALL THE KIDS IN BOTH OF MY GIRLS' CLASSES THOUGHT THEY WERE THE BEST VALENTINES THEY HAD RECEIVED!!!

I like that! I have tried once to do the melted crayons, but it didn't turn out great. I'll try your tip of similar colors together.
