Using the Stockpile, Day 5: Steak, Chicken, Bacon

Oatmeal and cereal for breakfast.  I think tomorrow may be a $6 milk run (Kum & Go, 2 gallons for $6).

For lunch, I took the remainder of a package of bacon and cooked it up, took the remaining chicken breast from dinner the other night and used homemade bread to make sandwiches!  Almost done with a bottle of mayo.  We're really loving the homemade honey oat bread.

All afternoon, my husband and I got the "cleaning bug" and started with his closet, then I started on mine, and before I knew it, I had the bed rotated, the floor swept and all the loose ends in a basket to sort!  It was well worth the time spent.

For dinner, I took some steaks from the freezer and sauteed with onions, garlic, mushrooms and 1 large green pepper and served with some steak sauce.

Total spent on food outside of stockpile:
Today:  $0
This Month:  $22.33
Goal:  Spend under $100 for January, but under $50 would be awesome!
