Using the Stockpile, Day 10: Freezer Appetizers




For lunch, I took some homemade bread and made a half grilled cheese to pair with a half can of Campbell's tomato soup.  That homemade bread toasts so well and makes awesome sandwiches.  Here's the recipe I like if you're interested in beer honey oat bread with flax.

For dinner, I took all of the "appetizer" type items out of the freezer include spanakopita, mozzarella sticks, jalapeno poppers and the remainder of a bag of french fries, plus some shrimp.  Not the healthiest, but that's also why those things have been hanging out in the freezer; we just don't eat that stuff very often.  While going through things to cook, I found a ROLO candy bar.  Hello, dessert!  On that note, healthier eating tomorrow.




While that was cooking, I mixed up 8 eggs, 1 cup of shredded cheddar and 1 package of precooked bacon (a clearance find) and baked that since the oven was hot.  This will make a good breakfast for the next couple of days.

Stockpile items demolished:  1 box of Kraft Mac & Cheese, 1 jar of Patak's Sauce, 1 bag of granola, 1 bag of protein powder, 1 rogue squash, 1 package of chicken breast, 1 package of Hormel deli pepperoni, 1 tube of crescent rolls, 2 packages of bacon, 1 bag of shredded cheese, 2 packages of Knorr rice sides, 1 big jar of Jif peanut butter, 1 jar of honey, 1 bag of flour, 1 box of crackers, 1 box of granola/snack bar, 2 freezer steaks, 1 bag of Gevalia coffee, 2 gallons of milk, 1 jar of Jif hazelnut spread, 1 box of cereal, 1 whole freezer chicken, 4 misc. beers, 1 box oatmeal, 1 jar almond butter, 1 can of green beans, 1 bag frozen peas, 1 jar of canned fruit, 1 remaining package of spanakopita, 1 remaining package of mozzarella sticks, 1 remaining package of jalapeno poppers, 1 remainder of a bag of french fries
