Homemade Laundry Soap Recipe!

My best friend was in town this weekend and we decided to make some homemade laundry soap while enjoying some baked goods and adult beverages.  Here's the recipe if you're interested!  We used a cooler as it's the only thing we could find with a lid in the house.  Haha.  We went to two stores as Hy-Vee was out of Borax, so we got just the bar soap and washing soda at Hy-Vee and the Borax and baking soda at Walmart.

1 box Borax $3.38 at Walmart - 4 lb 12 oz box
1 box washing soda $3.29 at Hy-Vee - 3 lb 7 oz box
1 box baking soda $2.12 bigger box at Walmart 4 lb box
3 bars Fels-Naptha, finely shredded $1.19 at Hy-Vee or $0.97 at Walmart

I paid $11.92 for all of this pictured.  Cheaper at Walmart for all the items pictured.

Mix together, use 1-2 tbs per wash.  Enjoy the savings!  One-third of a batch has lasted my BFF and her SO an entire year!  It smells really good and I can't wait to test it out. Pin It
