What is a register reward (RR)?

Per Walgreen's site, a register reward is a coupon that will print when you buy a specific item.

How do you know which items will produce a register reward?  You can see at the store or in the ad!  We also post weekly register rewards deals.

Register rewards help us get a lot of things free:

Example:
Grape soda is $2.99 for a 12 pack
but there is a $2.99 register reward that will print when you buy it (so, after you've paid you will get this RR)
Basically, this 12 pack of grape soda will be FREE after the register reward.

Register rewards are used as coupons for your next transaction at Walgreens.  If you take the grape soda RR and want to buy toilet paper next week, $2.99 will be deducted from the cost of your toilet paper.  RR cannot be used on the same item that you got it from (if you got it from grape soda, you can't go back and get more grape soda and use the RR, or a new RR will not print if within the same time period of the RR deal).

If you want to buy that toilet paper and have a coupon and want to use your RR -- you MUST find a "filler item" -- something cheap, because the RR will count as a coupon towards your purchase, and only 1 coupon per item in your bag.  So 1 RR and 1 manufacturer coupon means you must have 2 items to use both of those.
