went to walmart in Leeds tonight (was in the neighborhood) and bought 10 nexcare bandaids for $1.00 used the $1.00 printable coupons. I was told by a CSM, who spoke with an assistant manager (jennifer) about the coupons. the CSM was told (by the assistant manager) that they needed to be rung up separate (per transaction) *even though the coupons clearly state 1 per purchase, (not per transaction) after trying to explain the difference to the NICE CSM, between transaction and per purchase they still didnt get it. they "allowed" it this one time for all the coupons to go through.
PER PURCHASE: 1 coupon per item you are purchasing (10 bandaids x 10 coupons)
Meant to enforce the point that you may not use two of the exact same coupon for one item.
PER TRANSACTION: 1 coupon per that one item, in the whole transaction. (1 bandaid x 1 coupon per transaction - per check out - per order ect)
meant to enforce the point of 1 coupon for the 1 item (even if you purchase 2 items) per check out process *transaction
HERES AN EXAMPLE PER PURCHASE:
purchased 10 x band-aids shown above coupon i used which states "1 coupon per purchase"
***PURCHASE 10 BAND-AIDS 1 Coupon per Purchase
(1 box purchased = 1 coupon, 10 boxes purchased=10 coupons)
buy 1 similac product like above (even though the picture dont match *coupon states any no size restrictions and even if the item is cheaper then the coupon, you may still use the coupon shown below)
LIMIT 1 COUPON PER TRANSACTION:
EXAMPLE PER TRANSACTION:
***purchase 1 similac product, use 1 coupon
(1 similac product = 1 coupon, even if you purchase 2 similac products =1 coupon)
Limit 1 Coupon per Transaction means that if you want to buy 2 Similac canisters and you have 2 coupons, you’ll need to buy 1, use 1 coupon, pay the cashier and then do a separate transaction for your 2nd canister, use 2nd coupon and pay the cashier again.
On another note:
P&G coupons state: Limit 4 coupons PER Shopping trip, which is the same as per transaction... meaning you can buy 4 of the same item, use 4 of the same coupon.
